Aiyanna Denise Johnson
January 21, 2010-December 25, 2016
With a heavy and humble heart, I ask for your help. My friend Imani's sweet daughter, Aiyanna Denise Johnson, lost her fight with Spinocerebellar ataxia type 7 on Christmas Day 2016. Yaya, as she was affectionately called by her friends and family, leaves behind her mother Imani Bausley and her father Aj Johnson.
As you can imagine, the family is grieving right now and the last thing we want them to worry about is finances. Christmas is about giving not grieveing, funeral expenses are only the beginning for this family, and I pray we are able to lift one burden.
Yaya, at the tender age of 6 lost her ability to see, walk, and even speak some time ago but she was awlays still smiling. Up until the very end she was a fighter, though she had gastrointestinal issues, a G-tube, could no longer hold her head up herself, and had to take a daily pharmesuetical concoction she was the sweetest little girl you would have ever met.
Anyone who knew Yaya, knows that she had a huge heart and would share her toys with other children without ever having to be asked. Never once did I hear her complaining while in-and-out of the hospital over 100 times.
Please, please find it in your heart to consider helping her family in their time of need.
I give you this one thought to keep.
I am with you still. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone.
I am with you still in each new dawn.
Help spread the word!
