Hi, I’m YaYa!

I am also Ariann Anderson.
My wife Jess, and our 2 girls (Little e and Big E) LOVE an adventure. When we run into friends, they often tell us that we always look like we are “doing something fun.” We really are. We truly love the excitement of a new experience and we are never afraid to explore! In addition to this wanderlust is an equally as impassioned sense of HOME. My truest joy in life is creating a comfortable & inviting space where friends and family, new and old, feel at home. Feel LOVED. It is because of this passion that I am notorious for finding a reason to throw a party. (But why does there always have to be a reason?) I sing a little. I get fired up. I never sit still. There is always plenty of food. I usually burn the rolls. (But I suppose that’s not helpful here, huh?)
I LIVE to create and provide comfort and entertainment in a place where everyone can feel at home - warm, satiated... loved.
This is how the plan for YaYa’s New Sheelytown came to be.
This is the Anderson family's NEW adventure!
A community sourced cafe. Locally sourced comfort food in a warm and eclectic space - featuring local art and live music.
I once read that the key to starting a successful business is to “Find a need and fill it.”
In on-boarding with the team that is handling the Hanscom Park / Field Club Neighborhood’s Revitalization Project, I got to review the “hopes and dreams” of more than 300 area neighbors. Surveys show that having a local neighborhood cafe / coffee shop was equally as important to area residents as green space and walk-able sidewalks.
The success of neighboring Vis Major has proven that this neighborhood is ripe and ready for a second destination location in the neighborhood.
This PARTICULAR location is Magical. It has some very special properties that, not only a make it a PERFECT location for a cafe, it also opens up the potential for an extremely cool “Speakeasy” lounge in the basement - eventually.
With the already successful Vis Major as our neighbor, the addition of YaYas, helps to anchor this "up and coming" district and our once thriving neighborhood starts to come back to life….
A great deal of work has already gone into this project and continues to be “underway.” More of these details are available upon request!
In order to complete our business plan and finalize numbers with our investors, we are asking for a little help. Hiring architects, getting permits & inspections... we have lots of people willing to offer their services but we could also use a little bit to help offset the start up costs and secure our lenders!
Please consider a donation! We promise that your first cup of coffee will be on the house! ; - )
Our current goal is to be ready to open late spring or early summer of 2019!
