Help Josie Beat Cancer!

This is my niece, Josie Lakin. As some of you may or may not know, she has been fighting the battle with brain cancer for over 8 years. She was only 20 the first time she had a tumor removed and had a second one removed just 2 years ago.

Today Josie is having a third surgery to remove another one. This has been an extremely difficult way to live her life, especially in her 20’s. No one at any age should have to go through this and live their life with such trauma to their bodies.

For my family and friends that know Josie, they know what an amazing, strong young lady she is. She has such a driving spirit and pushes herself to strive for the best in life! Josie has never given up on reaching her goals and has worked the entire time throughout this battle. She is such an inspiration to me and so many others in her life.

Having gone through 2 surgeries and now a 3rd, with countless rounds of radiation, and ongoing chemo treatments, the financial burden of medical bills and the stress it puts on her is never ending.

We have been so very fortunate to have had so many of our family and friends generously donate to a GoFundMe twice before, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! I am now hoping to help her keep fighting this battle of not only cancer but the stress of having to pay for these medical bills all by herself.

She has worked so hard to try and keep up with them and to keep her insurance, which as we all know can only do so much. Josie is not one to ask for help with money stresses, so I am on her behalf trying to bring her family and friends together to help her in this battle.

We have been so blessed with her presence here with us! I think we all want her to keep fighting, so we can enjoy loving her the way she deserves to be!
