Jack Underwood, a well known young 28 year old male from the Hunter region who use to love his football, surfing, golfing and anything outdoors that got him active.
Jack was once a positive, happy and helpful young person, who would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Jack would do anything for anyone and always found ways to help people more in need than himself. Jack is a young father of two beautiful boys aged 1 years and 7 years who are the light of his world, since developing this back injury it has taken a massive toll on Jacks mental, physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. Not being able to simply get out of bed and pick his boys up, kick a ball around, run around with them or be the father his always wanted to be has affected him immensely. Which has resulted in jack suffering from severe mental health issues. Jack was always the person that would put a smile on people’s face, make them laugh when there at there lowest but now it’s hard to even see him have a smile on his face and that’s not the person Jack once was.
Jack developed a chronic back injury after multi-able surgeries on his left knee in 2016 as most of close family and friends would know, he has been dealing with severe back pain which has changed everything about him. I with a few of Jacks close family and friends have spoken and think he needs something like this to take some financial stress off him and us as a young family as the surgery expenses, recovery and physiotherapy will be a lot to cover financially when only living on one wage.
Jacks recovery is looking like 4 months or more which has resulted in financial stress as we will be living purely off my wage, I am currently working a full time job and two side jobs just to make ends meet. As Jacks Wife this has been the hardest thing for me to watch the person I love go through excruciating pain day in and day out and not be able to help or take it away from him. If anyone is able to help it would mean the world to him and us. He has always said he would be embarrassed to ask the community for help but after he has been taken to hospital 3 times in the past month I think this is the best we can do for him.
Jack, our two young boys and myself appreciate the support and love we have received so far but to get Jack through this dark time and reduce some of the stresses both jack and myself have I have had to make the decision to give this a go and see what happens.
Thank you
Much love and appreciation
