Yasna and her family

"Please help our beloved work colleague and her family get back on their feet after the floods ripped through their home with little warning. And to add to the trauma some low life scum tried to loot whatever possessions Yasna and Darren had rescued to the upper floor.
Any amount will help."
Please forgive some of the language used above. I won't change it because it comes from the emotions of seeing not just Yasna and Darren's flood-damaged possessions in a pile but also all the other families in many streets on the walk back to my car on Monday the 17th. But no matter how horrible the looter's actions were, who knows what events in their lives drove them to transgress?
The generosity of the contributions from everyone so far is so inspiring. As I have said to some contributors, it does restore some of your lost faith in humanity!
If anyone can contribute information to the legality of certain insurance companies quadrupling flood insurance premiums weeks out from a predictable extreme weather event into a river system's reduced ability to mitigate water levels thanks to the racecourse's wall quarantining a large area of flood plain-I am all ears.
