--In these days of Thanksgiving, we are thankful that our daughter, Yasmin, is alive and stabilizing after suffering through terrible depression and suicide attempts this fall.
--We are grateful that she has the opportunity to learn new building blocks and coping skills.
--We are thankful for her charming, sensitive spirit that has graced us with her presence since birth, even if we have to let go of her just now We have seen her struggle to be part of the main stream to no avail and wish that her suffering diminish.
--We are thankful that there are professionals who can help and teach her.
--We want her to finally realize the possibility of happiness.
Like everyone else, we hate asking for money. But we love our daughter more.
If if you have ever known anyone touched by depression or any other form of mental illness, please consider helping right away. You will feel good about it.
