Yasmine’s Fight Against Breast Cancer!
Donation protected
I first want to start this off by saying a huge thank you to each and every single person who reached out and offered their support through my whole journey, and to everyone that was kind enough to send a donation. That kind of help meant the world to me and will be forever grateful. On a recap of everything, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, invasive ductal carcinoma, back in January of this year. To be where I am now, time has definitely flown by faster than I ever expected. I started chemotherapy pretty soon after my diagnosis and finished that at the ending of April. Chemo worked a really good amount for me and shrunk my tumor over half its original size. After that was the next big step which was the surgery of removing my tumor. That happened around the second week of May. It took a few weeks to recover from that and then began with seeing doctors for radiation. I began my radiation treatments in the beginning of July, just finished my last treatment today and am now in complete remission! This journey has been a wild ride, lots of ups and downs, mentally and emotionally draining at times, but I couldn’t have asked for a better support system throughout it all. Every doctor I saw told me I’m the youngest they’ve seen in years, if not ever, and they really enjoyed how joyful I was and how well I was handling it all with my jokes and positivity. Getting diagnosed with cancer this year was never a thought in my mind, but I couldn’t be more blessed with my overall outcome. Any remaining donations made will be used towards my payoff of my tumor removal surgery, one more surgery I will have coming in the future for my chest port removal, and paying off my radiation. If anyone would like to share my post feel free to do so, it would be appreciated. Again, from the bottom of my heart thank you to each and every single person that reached out, sent their kind words and prayers, who sent their generous donations. I’m ready to take on the rest of 2024 cancer free!
