In Memory of Suliasi Lautaha

We are absolutely devastated by the unexpected and sudden tragic loss of our brother, Maika Suliasi Allen Lautaha.

Yasi was kind, generous and could make you laugh and cry at the same time. He was hilarious and had an infectious laugh. He was a devoted father and a true friend. He moved with quiet dignity and effortlessly served those around him, with no need for recognition or expectation of anything in return.

No parent should have to bury their own child. It doesn't make sense. Financial burden is not something anyone should have to worry about when grieving the loss of a loved one. In order to help my parents shoulder some of the load, we (Yasi's sisters) decided we would create a gofundme for anyone who wants or feels able to contribute. Donations will go directly to helping with Yasi's funeral services and supporting his surviving children.

We are in awe at how our community has shown up for our family and incredibly touched by the urgency with which family and friends have asked to contribute or help, as a show of mourning with us. We love you and are grateful to each of you. Hug your people tight and let them know you love them! Ofa atu ❤️
