On July 24th, 2025, my sister-in-law Yashika Perez's unexpected hospitalization due to a sudden illness has led to an extended 80+ day stay, with increasingly unexplained findings, testing her strength and resilience. Throughout this period, Maribel has been a rock by her side, taking a short-term leave of absence from her role as a Jackson Hospital employee.
