Yary's Journey: Battling Breast Cancer and Loss

Yary has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer at the start of this year. She has a very tough road ahead of her as she was also the primary caregiver for her mother, who was battling a very aggressive cancer of her own. In the midst of now taking on her own battle with cancer, her number one priority has always been caring for her two daughters and her mother. This past year, Yary had to quit her job as her mother’s cancer recurred and spread to other areas in her body. Her mother’s treatments have been extremely aggressive, and she requires constant care. Without any question, Yary devoted all of herself to ensure her mother overcomes this horrible disease. Yary’s genuine soul to care for her family so deeply is the force pushing her through this. Her selflessness speaks volumes as she just said the other day, “My strength will get me through because my daughters and my mother need me.”

It is with my deepest sorrow that her mother, Zoraida, a beautiful, kind-hearted, strong woman who has fought this disease relentlessly, has gained her angel wings. She recently passed away on March 15, 2025. The cross Yary is carrying just became heavier as she is grief-stricken with the loss of her mother and battling this disease without her to hold her hand. Her surgery for a double mastectomy is scheduled on April 24, 2025. Being a breast cancer warrior myself I personally know how difficult this road is going to be for her and I am hoping this GoFundMe will alleviate some of her financial burdens and stress during her very difficult journey in beating cancer!!
