September 25, 2026. It's morning.

The night was stressful for the dogs that once had to survive in such frightening storms outside. While all our dogs are inside dogs, it didn't make a difference for the ones suffering from the past.

Last night was a nightmare. The sounds of war. The sky opened up and dumped a tsunami on us.

The soil caved in, sinkholes everywhere. Trenches washed out and yards have huge water holes in them.

This is an emergency fundraiser. We can't afford the cost of more lumber on our own to build such a huge need for the dogs and they have to have rising platforms in the yard as soon as possible for their personal safety.

There's no other way regardless of any suggestions anyone might make here. I have to start building a riser deck for the entire area.

The costs will be astronomical. Not just for the big dog house, but for all the cottages too. The soil washed away leaving huge gaps and holes. Buildings shifted from the soil washout and will need to be leveled again.

We have 3 days before the rain returns. This year's weather has been the worst so far. The storm lasted for over 3 hours. Ripping through the screens and moving several inches of soil burying fence panels, bending welded wire panels. All will need to taken down and set on a riser to prevent further damage and loss of panels.

We used almost 200 bales of pine shavings so far and it looks like nothing was put on the ground. The dogs are hostages now and the humans will be cleaning 24/7, but the dogs will be safe and dry.

The entire ranch yards look like this, some worse than others. In CO we had to build a huge trenching system due to the snow melt. Here, we will need to do the same, only the added task is preventing the soil from washing out. So I will also need to buy a couple loads of gravel to pack the soil down.

Backfill, pack it down and build a riser deck on top. I won't get it all done in a day. I will tackle it one yard at a time until all the yards are open again.

The costs right now are in the thousands to fix all the damage done last night. We need your help now more than ever. The dogs have to have a rising deck not only so they can go outside but to keep them out of the flood waters that we get here in the desert.
