NYLF Nomination

Hello, my name is Christopher Rios. I'm a junior at La Quinta High School (LQHS) in La Quinta, CA. I have recently been nominated to represent my school and community at the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) in Washington, D.C in summer of 2024. By attending NYLF, I will join other students from around the country for a program focused on National Security - Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense.

The event is to be held at the University of Maryland and it is sure to be a powerful experience. Attending the event will allow me to further my interest and goal of becoming an officer in the United States military. I maintain a 4.83 GPA, and I am involved in several LQHS Air Force JROTC programs as well as a Fire Explorer with the Riverside County Fire Department. In addition, I recently attended and completed the United States Marine Corps Devil Pups program at Camp Pendleton, CA.
