Friends and family, hello!
I am very excited to share with you that I will be going to Benque Viejo, Belize on August 4 through May of this upcoming year. I will be teaching as a missionary teacher with the SOLT (Society of Our Lady of the Trinity) community. Our teaching staff of around 20 (made up of priests, religious sisters, and lay people like myself) works at Mount Carmel High school, John Paul II Junior college, and Saint Ignatius High School. The mission was founded in 1990 by Father John McHugh, a member of the SOLT order and now provides a quality Catholic education for over 500 Belizean students. Some of you may remember I went to Belize two years ago during spring break. This will be the same mission that I was working with then. I really look forward to being able to go back and serve the people of Belize.
I ask first and foremost for your prayers as I prepare to head down to Belize this coming August. If you feel so inspired and are able, I would really appreciate any financial contribution you can make to furthering this mission. The costs will cover my flights down, various expenses throughout the year, and miscellaneous material for the classroom. If you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me!
