Ever since I was a child, I watched countless pageants in the Hmong community and dreamed of one day stepping onto that stage myself. In 2022, I had the honor of competing in Miss Hmong Southeast Puavpheej and was crowned Miss Hmong Southeast Puavpheej 2022-2023. I thought that would be my first and last pageant, but then I discovered Miss Global and saw how it brought together women from all over the world. Seeing Payengxa Lo compete on the international stage reignited my dream. For a long time, I doubted myself—I didn’t think I was pretty enough, smart enough, or looked like a model who could compete at that level. But watching Miss Global inspired me to believe that if other girls can do it, so can I.
Now, I have the incredible opportunity to represent the Hmong people and community, as well as myself—Miss Global Hmong 2026—on an international stage. Pageantry is a beautiful hobby that requires as much dedication, time, and resources as any other passion. The funds raised here will go directly toward my national costume, evening gown, flight expenses, makeup, hair products, pageant training, and the daily attire required for the competition. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help me take one step closer to making this dream a reality.
To everyone who would love to support me, even if it’s just a dollar, it can go such a great length and I’m grateful for everything. This isn’t just for me as Yaj Yuam Vaj, but for all of us who dare to dream big. This journey of mine isn't about the crown, but to continue to learn, experience, and grow. To be a role model to all the younger generation, create a path that they can follow and shy away from the thoughts of 'I can't do it. It's too good to be true' and put your minds to it and go at it. As nature needs rain to grow, we go through obstacles to grow as well. Thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey.
