On 12/10/17, at 2:20AM, Yan Fen Zhao lost her life senselessly by a hit and run driver. As an immigrant who didn’t get a chance to learn a new language necessary to attain a better life, Fen worked tirelessly everyday as a dishwasher in an Oakland Chinatown restaurant. Everyone who knew her will tell you she was the kindest person around and cared about everyone around her. Fen’s husband also works hard as a humble dishwasher and would appreciate any help toward Fen’s funeral expenses in this difficult time.
