Well, I graduated with my AS (pictured) and am now in the civil engineering program at UK.

I got accepted to a study abroad program for a required course that directly aligns with my career goals. It's in Greece and focuses on sustainable infrastructure (the things that allow society to exist as it does, the modern pleasures we take for granted.)

I want to go so badly because I'd like to be able to bring back some of their superior infrastructure ideals and help realize them where we live.

People are out there doing better, being more cohesive with what is already built and what is natural, and we can do better, too. This course hits on my passions and is definitely going to make me better at the job I want to do.

I'd like to help lead us in that direction.

I did receive one of the most hefty scholarships the school gives for this, and will be applying for more, but I'm thousands of dollars short as it stands. These funds also come AFTER the program has to be paid in full. I'm going to do what I can to raise what money I can to cover the costs.

For reference, I'm not really up there messing around, I've kind of been rocking the whole school thing and I think this will give me an even more competitive resume for future program/scholarship/job opportunities.

If you know me, you know how painfully awkward it is for me to ask for help. But, I am a single mom and full-time student, and my tutoring job is basically gas money.

If you could throw in on it that'd be great.
