SPCC Newcastle Team - YMUN XLV
In August 2018, our delegation won the 22nd National Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) Event, in Canberra and hosted by Rotary.
As the current National MUNA winners, we have the opportunity to participate in an International level Model UN event. Our Delegation was recently accepted into the 45th Yale Model United Nations Conference, to be held at the historic Yale University, in January (17-20th).
The YMUN XLV event, will bring together 2000+ high school students, from 40 different countries YMUN XLV promises to challenge delegates to engage and think critically. Through the many committees meticulously prepared and moderated by Yale students, delegates will research historical conflicts and wars, investigate humanitarian crises and responses, and work toward consensus on sustainability and survival. Tackling these problems will require nothing short of the most unwavering persistence.
In order for our delegation to cover our conference registration, flights, accomodation, food and travel expenses, we need to raise $11,000 as a team. Our hope is that with community support, we will head to New Haven, with your support to do you proud as local and national ambassadors.
