Yale Hunger Strike Funds for Gaza

Donation protected
No aid has entered Gaza in more than two months, since Israeli forces imposed a full blockade on March 2nd, 2025. Currently, one bag of flour costs anywhere from $150-$500.

Just last week, the World Health Organization announced, "The entire 2.1 million population of Gaza is facing prolonged food shortages, with nearly half a million people in a catastrophic situation of hunger, acute malnutrition, starvation, illness and death." This is an entirely man-made famine. In solidarity with the people of Gaza, eight Yale affiliates have launched a hunger strike to demand that Yale divest from companies which profit from grave human rights abuses.

Today, May 19th, is day TEN of the strike. Despite an outpour of public support, President McInnis has thus far refused to meet with the students, alumni, and staff who are putting their bodies and health on the line. We hope to use the visibility the strike has generated to raise funds for food and other necessities for the people of Gaza.

100% of funds raised will be sent directly to families displaced within Gaza for food, medical treatment, and baby supplies, including diapers and formula. All families receiving funds have personal relationships with students involved in, or otherwise supporting, the strike at Yale.
