Stem Cell Treatment -Mark Yakabuski
Support our good friend Mark Yakabuski for aggressive treatments to regain use of his limbs.
(Note for our International Friends - funds are in Canadian dollars (CAD$1 = ~$.70 US/Euro))
On May 21st, 2016 Mark Yakabuski ( Yak ) was thrown from a golf cart while celebrating his 42nd birthday with friends, which left him with a serious spinal cord injury. Mark is paralyzed from the chest down.
First and foremost Mark is a family man who adores his wife (April) and three boys (Paul 16, Hayden 13, Brody 9). He has always been physically active exceeding in sports - especially hockey, and his love for the game rubbed off on his boys. All three play and he coaches of course.
Mark is equally involved in the community and work. He is self-driven and hardworking. As Vice President of Business Development Strategy for Gemalto where he has worked for 17 years, he has successfully grown the company's global security business, and is well respected in the industry.
Mark loves his life and we want to help him get it back. With some financial assistance Mark will engage in aggressive treatments to regain use of his body such as stem cell, clinical trial, and physiotherapy. Clinical trials have been very successful in helping others in similar situations regain use of their limbs. Although local fundraising efforts have been successful and are a testament to the person that Mark is, they are not sufficient to cover the extensive costs of trials that involve moving to a different city for approximately 6 months, the need for nursing aid and care.
Please support the Yakabuski family in reaching their goals. Thank you. We cannot give up on hope! #Yakstrong
