Yahya Sankanu & Abubakarr Konteh Emergency Relief

On January 9, 2022, an apartment building fire in the Bronx took the lives of 17 beloved individuals, including many children, and injured more than 60 others.
In an unimaginable tragedy, Abubakarr Konteh, Yahya Sankanu’s cousin, lost his son Ousmane Konteh (2 years old) and cousin, who was raised like a son, Oumar Konteh (8 years old), as well as his sister, Fatoumata Tunkara. These families have lost so much so quickly, and are now completely displaced from their homes.
