Oakland Youth's 1st Year at USC !

This is my son Yafeu Tyhimba! He has recently been accepted into the Flora L. Thorton School of Music at USC! He has received over 90%  scholarship to attend. We are diligently raising the last bit of tuition ($8,500) to ensure he has an incredible 1st year at USC!

Yafeu has been studying the upright bass and alto saxophone in the prestegious YMCO -Young Musicians Choral Orchestra,  deligently for the past 7years (since he was 11yrs) If you don't know, this requires a great deal of energy, time, and consistent effort.  So many times my son has been seen transporting his upright bass and saxophone all around town!

In addition, to being a committed student of Jazz, he is just as committed to his academics.
This committment showed up last school year  at Kipp King Collegiate High School in the form of a 4.2 gpa.!

He has also been a diligent student in Mandarin for the past 4 years. He plans on minoring in Mandarin while attending USC!

I am extremely proud of my son's work ethic and talent. USC believes in him. And I am asking for you to believe in my son as well! Support Yafeu Tyhimba  in his 1st year at the prominent USC!
