Yakov is a loving husband, father and grandfather, who left the former Soviet Union in 1990 as a refugee at the age of 43. Since then, he has worked full-time as a taxi driver, supporting his wife, in his new home in Israel.
Due to a degenerative eye disease, Yakov is in need of a double cornea transplant. The current backlog in the public system in Israel is about two years but his need is urgent and immediate, that’s why his doctors advised him that his only option is to raise 34,000 dollars for the operation that will prevent complete loss of sight.
Help us get Yakov the lifeline he needs and regain a productive life.
I am doing this campaign from Canada so we can have more reach. The funds will be wired to Yakov from Canada to Israel immediately.
