Mike Yablonski, aka "YABBY" is a loving husband to his wife, Sarah, and father to two boys, Jack and Aaron. Yabby has been a custodian in Naugatuck Public Schools for 25 years. Sarah has also been employed by the Board of Education for the last 17 years. Yabby is devoted to his work and most importantly to his family.
Yabby has been feeling "off" for quite some time, despite numerous doctors visits and tests he was told it was Lyme disease and recieved antibiotics. Two weeks ago Mike, Sarah and their children were trying to enjoy their family vacation but he continued to decline despite the medications. He sought additional medical attention upon arriving home and was quickly transferred to Yale.
On August 17, 2019 Yabby was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 4 Lymphoma which has impacted his Kidneys and is in his bones. He will need to remain under medical observation for an unknown amount of time.
Yabby is unable to work and financially provide for his wife and two children at this time. During his treatment Sarah will need to be present to make medical decisions and support Yabby though this difficult time causing her to also miss work.
