Laura's fight
Donation protected
Laura is in liver failure caused by an auto immune disease that she has been fighting for the past 20 years. She became very ill and was admitted to Salem Hospital on October 14th. Her health declined rapidly and only a week later, she was transferred to the OHSU Intensive Care Unit where she can receive the best care.
Laura was able to beat a massive infection in her stomach. She is currently on a breathing monitor to allow her lungs to rest and recover from trauma caused by the infection.
Within a couple of weeks we will find out if she’s a viable candidate for her much needed liver transplant.
Her daughters, granddaughters, family, and friends miss her so much and desperately need her to regain her mental state and begin passing the neuro exams.
Laura is the primary care giver for her mother who is in her 80s. Her daughters have now taken on that responsibility as well.
While she is unable to work, her family would be grateful for any assistance with her daily expenses (mortgage, bills, insurance, etc.) that have become a struggle to support.
