Bill's Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Beth and I'm looking for your support and prayers.
Bill ( aka MAD DOG for all the McArthur alumni) is my Husband and best friend for 37 years, father, and grandfather who was caught off guard by a cancer diagnosis. Esophageal cancer. This cancer only accounts for 1% of cancer diagnosis and the prognosis is not good. With traditional cancer treatment Bill has been given 1 ½ years with his quality of life decreasing quickly. Imagine if it hurt you to swallow every bite of food or drink. You would soon not want to eat.
Bill is an Army veteran, a manly man, and someone who loves unconditionally. He longs to see his grandchildren grow up. He has gone from active and energetic to struggling daily to put a smile on his face. Traditional treatment is offering 2 options, die a slow painful death, or die a fast painful death. We don’t like either of those.
I would like to take Bill to Envita Cancer center in Scottsdale, Arizona where he can get more targeted treatment with a better outcome than he is being given at the local hospital. They specialize in creating individualized protocols based on the genetics of each patient’s unique cancer presentation. Because these treatments are not considered traditional, they are not covered by insurance, therefore we need to raise the funds to travel there and pay the hospital bills that will follow. The treatments can last from 4 to 14 or more weeks and cost between $140,000.00 to $200,000.00.
Will you consider helping us get Bill to Envita with a donation of $20, $50, or $100? Any amount is greatly appreciated.
