Help the Silver Fox and his family

If you shopped at ‘Kingsland Market’ aka ‘The Market on Macleod’, you know Christie and Jerry.

With a genuine smile, warm greeting and a pepperoni stick they welcomed you to their booth, ‘The Silver Fox’.

I met them as a fellow vendor. Hardworking, passionate and an inspiration for the standards of customer service they provided, they helped make our market more than just a place to shop.

It was a place to visit family.

Early 2021, they received the difficult news that Jerry, The Silver Fox has Stage 4 liver failure.

Christie, being the proud, strong woman she is, has managed to keep it going. With Jerry being physically unable to work, she has done all she can to provide for her family. From working as much overtime as possible as well as applying for supports, she has kept a roof over their heads and food on their plates.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help Christie with her life expenses for the next 3 months. Jerry has applied for early CCP due to his diagnosis, but the payments will not start until February 2022.

The reality... we don’t think Jerry will make it until then.

I am hoping this will help ease their financial worries and make it possible for Christie to focus her energy on her family and her own well-being... rather than on if they get to eat tonight.
