It is with a very broken heart that I have to inform all of our friends and family of my husbands current health situation.
It is also very humbling to have to ask for help as we have always tried to “tough it out” on our own. But since victor is self employed and doesn’t have health insurance we are in a bad situation currently.
It started mid-December when victor was hospitalized with pneumonia. They ran a lot of tests, including ones on his heart, but decided that treating the pneumonia was most important at the time. After heavy rounds of antibiotics, steroids and breathing treatments the pneumonia improved. But victor still had breathing trouble even gasping for air, chest pain, was extremely tired regardless of rest, and now his legs, ankles and feet were swollen really bad. (Hospital bill $27,000)
Time to see the doctor again. ($250 for office visit, EKG, bloodwork, lung capacity test)
His doctor was very concerned about his heart because of the swelling in his legs and feet and the trouble breathing he was having. She referred his to have a CT scan of his chest. ($170 for test)
The next day he got the devastating news.
My husband of almost 18 years has CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE.
What?!!! No way. Not him. Not us. This can’t be true.
His doctor said that he needs to see a cardiologist ASAP. How much will that cost? We were quoted $332 for first visit. He will need more tests from there and constant visits to the cardiologist as this diagnosis is NOT one to be taken lightly. (More money! ♀️)
I am asking that if any can help us, any little bit helps. We have to keep paying bills and taking care of our son thru all of this. Victor isn’t able to do what he used to. He has to rest now. I will do anything and everything for him. He is the love of my life. Thanks ahead of time for your help and prayers. Love to all.
