Help Scott beat a brain tumor

Hello, my name is Michelle Rogers! I’m raising money for my son in law Scott MacDougall and daughter Jessica MacDougall and Their

twi children Parker who’s 13 and Delilah who is 5!

***Scotts back story***

when Scott was in his early twenties he was diagnosed with a juvenile pilocytic astrocytoma tumor in his brain!! Two years after the Initial diagnosis and surgery the tumor had returned and Scott had to undergo a second brain surgery to have it removed.

*** present day***

Early Monday morning my daughter received a phone call that Scott MacDougall had been admitted to the Pontiac hospital ER. She was informed that her husband Scott MacDougall had a brain bleed the size of a lemon and that he was being life flighted to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

After a brain scan was completed by the Nero team it was confirmed that Scott’s brain tumor had returned for a third time and that it had hemorrhage in the same place it had occurred the first two times in his 20s.

Scott underwent brain surgery on Wednesday November 3rd to remove the tumor and the Brain bleed! He was in surgery for about four hours. He made it through surgery. Whether or not the surgeon was able to remove the entire tumor is unknown at this time due to the hemorrhage it made complete visibility difficult. The surgeon said we should be able to tell if it was all removed in the next month or two.

Scott will be expected to stay in the hospital for another week we are hoping to bring him home sometime next week. He will have a long and hard recovery ahead of him.

Among other therapies Scott will have to undergo physical therapy to regain proper speech and motor skills he will have to learn how to balance himself again and to walk freely without help!

Scott’s wife Jessica will be caring for him at home throughout his recovery alongside their two children Parker and Delilah! Any donation made would be so helpful to go towards supporting this Family‘s needs while they focus on getting their husband and father well again!!
