Support Brotha Amp's Journey to Stability

My name is Anthony Roberts, yet most people know me as Amp or Brotha Amp, which is my preferred name.

Sorry for the trauma spill, but here is why I need help, yet again.

This past year has been truly harder than anything I have ever encountered, particularly the last few months.

Since 2020 and my arrest that year during the BLM uprisings surrounding George Floyd and many others' deaths, it has been an all-out struggle to find a decent, good-paying job. I haven't felt the effects of such, really until this past year.

I was able to survive off of non-profit work as well as handyman/online gigs and with the help of good friends, up until this past August. First, Covid hit me hard, then food poisoning. I lost all the progress I made as well as my savings, job, etc.

Onto September when I was arrested by the OPD (Orlando Police Department) with some friends, all for protesting the genocide in Palestine, the expansion of US imperialism, and Israel in South Lebanon. Then the hurricanes decided that it'd be a good time to swing by Florida late this year.

It's been a rough few months, and that is just what is leading me up to this mutual aid ask/request.

I am currently searching for a room to rent and needed it yesterday. I have no funds to speak of at this moment other than plasma money, and hopefully, I am able to start a few temp jobs in the meantime. I know it will cost a few dollars not only to move into a room to rent and to get back on my feet, but also moving expenses.

I have been homeless before, 4 years ago before I secured this place and believe me, sleeping on the hard concrete is nothing to be laughed over... especially with the new tactics in Orlando against the houseless near downtown, which I believe they will try to export these fascist tactics to other American cities if they work.

I apologize for the long rant/ask. I also appreciate all that interact with this post, even if it is just to show love and share. I appreciate you greatly.
