Donate to Brooke’s Cancer Treatment and Surrogacy Journey

Hello everyone,

My name is Dominic Martin and I am making this GoFundMe for my wife Brooke and I. We recently found out that my wife has Endometrial Cancer that not only risks her life, it also takes away her ability to conceive. What was supposed to be routine procedure to remove polyps from her uterus to make it easier for us to expand our family turned into a nightmare diagnosis. Unfortunately, she will have to have a complete Hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) as this cancer is spreading and can put her at a higher risk of death. Understandably, this has been completely devastating for us leading to a rollercoaster of emotions.

Throughout our marriage we have had trouble trying to conceive, but we’ve always had hope. We have tried many treatment available to us to be able to have a child- but this takes the possibility away from her completely. Brooke and I are both Nurses at a local community hospital where we spend the majority of our lives helping others heal during the worst times of their lives. We never would have guessed that at 33, my sweet wife would be going through the worst time of her life. My wife has always wanted to become a mother- she is so caring, compassionate, and determined but having Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) plus this cancer diagnosis has made it so much harder for us to be able to have the family she’s always aspired for. My wife is not the type of person to ask for help, however, I am asking for help in this immensely stressful and scary time. Sadly, there are still many hurdles ahead. We face many financial challenges and seek the generosity of our community. Your support and donations will allow us to pay for IVF and egg retrieval, compensation for our surrogate and accompanying medical costs, and other costs associated with getting Brooke cancer free. I know that my wife will be able to beat this cancer, she is so strong and is always so positive- but your donations will give us the opportunity to have the family we have always envisioned.
