A Journey of Healing and Hope

I want to share a deeply personal story with you, a story that lies at the heart of the PIR Center of Excellence. My name is Gary Roberts, and I’ve spent 18 years as an active-duty firefighter in South Florida. Throughout my career, I have seen more than my fair share of tragedy, but nothing could have prepared me for the personal heartbreak my family endured. We lost our beloved daughter to the opioid crisis, and several of my fellow firefighters took their own lives due to mental health struggles.

These experiences shattered me, but they also ignited a fierce determination within my wife, Pamela, and me. We knew we had to do something to change the narrative, to help others avoid such devastating losses. And so, the PIR Center of Excellence was born, built on a foundation of love, loss, and a profound desire to make a difference.

Mental health and addiction are not just statistics—they are personal, painful realities for so many of us. Nearly 1 billion people worldwide suffer from mental disorders, and the opioid crisis alone claims tens of thousands of lives annually. At the PIR Center, we tackle these challenges head-on with innovative therapies, including Alternative medicine and therapies. Our holistic approach aims to provide transformative healing in a supportive, luxurious environment.
