Eldene Starman's Medical Fund

My name is Wendy Starman Sankowski and if you have been following my updates over the past year on Facebook, you may know my mom, Eldene Starman has had some serious and sudden health challenges this past year.

Prior to her getting sick, she was dealing with a great amount of grief after losing my brother and father in a 2 year period.  Then in August, she got a bacterial infection which caused her to go into shock and have a stroke. Due to the complications of how all this happened, she was hospitalized for almost 3 months, went to rehab, went home, was re-hospitalized 3 times and now is in rehab again at Monroe Community Hospital because of her tracheotomy.

My mother is my heart and my last living immediate family member.  She has gone through so much in the past 10 months and continues to push through to regain her strength to go home and return to her normal life.

I have been her continuous support emotionally and physically present every day since August 30th, 2014.
Funds raised here will be used primarily for supportive staff for her, but also for other medical and legal expenses that have arisen over the many hospitalizations.

I am not able to work full time because of caring for my mom which has been a challenge. Not only will it ease her anxiety, but help her when nurses and staff cannot be with her. Having this help will immensely ease her mind, body and mine as well.
