March 4, 2021, on our beautiful Momma’s Birthday, our family received devastating news. We learned that our Dad, at 58 years old, has stage four cancer.
After a ten hour surgery to remove the cancer, things were looking very promising. Unfortunately, he developed serious breathing problems that were unexpected during the healing process. This lead to several trips to the ER prompting CT scans and biopsies that would reveal our worst nightmare... the cancer had invaded his lungs.
His team of oncologists gave him 3-6 weeks left here with us if the chemo doesn’t work miracles and encouraged us to “get the party started and to make the most of his time left.” 2021 has been heartbreaking for our family, but we are believing God has a bigger plan.
Our dad is now at home resting and spending as much time with our family as he can. If you know him and love him as much as we do, it is from the bottom of our hearts that we ask you to pray. Pray that the chemo starts working miracles to shrink the cancer cells, allowing him to breathe easier and to buy more time to make memories with family and friends.
This has put our family in a difficult financial situation, so if it is on your heart to help, anything at all to lessen this devastation would be greatly appreciated. We are forever grateful for your love and support during this very critical time. Please keep your prayers coming!
