Yona FrenchHawk medical equipment

Hi, my name is Nan Woodard, and once again I'm raising support for Yona FrenchHawk. These funds will help cover insurance deductibles for medical equipment.

As many of you know, Yona entered Cherokee Indian Hospital in September 2020 with a serious infection in his left foot. What followed was surgery to remove 2 toes on his left foot. (Even then he joined Jubilee! Community Church via Zoom from his hospital room.) Many of you generously supported him financially and offered meals & rides. Yona healed well & presented insightful messages at Jubilee! on July 4th and November 14th of this year.

As is common in this type of injury, Yona recently developed another blister on the skin graft tissue. He had exploratory surgery December 12th to see if the problem could resolve without further surgery. The news was good and he was released a few days later. Using a borrowed walker/wheelchair, Yona conducted the annual indigenous peoples ritual, "Calling of the Bears" on December 21st at Jubilee!

Doctors have said he should place no weight on his healing foot. Therefore he needs his own scooter to get around rather than using crutches. Once he's ready to walk again he will need an orthotic boot to take pressure off his scar tissue.

I'm sure Yona will continue to participate in Jubilee! services online. Yona is blessed by your compassion, and he is a blessing to many.

"In a good way."
