Catalina is only 7 years old, and her smile lights up everyone who meets her. A little over two years ago, she and her family came to the United States from Argentina through an exchange program that allowed her mother to teach in a dual education program, a dream the whole family supported from the beginning.

Today they are living through the worst nightmare a family can face. What began as a simple stomachache and a slight fever ended in a visit to the emergency room and a devastating diagnosis: neuroblastoma , a type of cancer that originates in nerve cells.

Catalina is currently being treated at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte , where she has already begun intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment , under the care of an incredible team of doctors and healthcare professionals.

This campaign aims to help ease the financial burden while her family focuses entirely on Catalina's care. Donations will help cover the unexpected expenses that arise from this long and demanding treatment, as well as the loss of income while her parents dedicate all their time and energy to being by her side.
