Hi, my name is Kayla and today 12/31 my brother passed away. Eric had been fighting Cirrhosis of the liver and this past couple weeks he hadn't been feeling great. On Sunday he was rushed to the Er after falling and was immediately placed in the ICU. He was quickly sedated and put on a ventilator because he was struggling to breathe on his own. We found out he had a terrible infection that was shutting his liver and kidneys down. He was on max amounts of medication and antibiotics for the infection, his blood pressure and heart rate. His body was no longer working on its own and the machines were doing everything. They removed the machines and took the sedation off this morning and he took his last breath minutes later. He leaves behind a wife and 3 kids. Eric was a hard working, loving man. We are raising costs for cremation services and to help his wife get on her feet with his daughter since she's been missing work lately and now will be down to 1 income.
