Help for the Hawkins Family

On September 14, 2018, our coworker and dear friend, Alison Hawkins, experienced a life-threatening medical emergency. By the grace of God and quick action of her husband and emergency personnel, Alison's life was saved. While the exact cause of her frightening cardiac event is currently being diagnosed, Alison is on the road to recovery; for this we are so grateful! Recovery, however, is likely to take quite some time. This will mean time away from her family and a significant interruption to income for an unknown duration.
To alleviate the stress of a number of immediate financial obligations for Alison's family, we are reaching out to those across the Mid-South District for assistance. Alison and her husband, Pastor Dan Hawkins (Missionary at Large for the Mid-South District) are blessed to have six children. We hope to raise $10,000 to help cover a number of upcoming expenses and bills for this large family while Alison undergoes continued hospitalization and extended rehabilitation, currently several hours from her Atoka, TN home at a hospital in St. Louis, MO.
As Alison receives the care she needs, her husband, Dan, is minding family matters back home while also tending to his growing congregation, Gracepoint Lutheran Church in Munford, TN. We ask that you keep the Hawkins family in your prayers during this time of unexpected transition and stress. We know--and THEY know--that the Lord has them in His precious care. May we be instruments of His comfort and help them through this challenging time.
