Their beautiful son, Waylon is currently in the NICU, fighting with the strength and spirit that already mirrors his parents’. As you can imagine, this journey has come with emotional, physical, and financial challenges that no family can truly prepare for.

These two have spent their lives giving back to others through their work as a flight nurse and firefighter. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. A note from Waylon’s Mom & Dad:

Our son Waylon came into this world much earlier than expected—born at just 26 weeks due to complications from pre-eclampsia. As a micro-preemie, he has already shown incredible strength and resilience, breathing on his own and fighting through some gastrointestinal issues with the help of his amazing NICU team.

Though we don’t yet know the full extent of the medical expenses ahead, one thing we do know is that when Waylon is ready to come home, we want to be fully present for him. Our goal is to take some time off of work to give him the love, care, and stability he needs for the best possible start in life.

We’re asking for your support—whether through a financial gift or by simply keeping Waylon in your thoughts and prayers. The emotional toll of this journey has been immense, and every message, donation, and prayer truly means the world to us.

We’ve set a goal of $17,000 to help cover both medical and living expenses while we focus on Waylon’s care and recovery. We’ll continue sharing updates on his progress through Facebook for all those cheering him on from near and far.
