Hello, my name is Philip and I'm raising funds to help me and my children during a difficult time.

Prior to the pandemic I had started a handyman/remodeling business. Things were going well until the pandemic started. Jobs weren't coming in but I still didn't file for any pandemic relief because I thought we'd be fine and others needed it more than me. Since then things got worse until where I am today. I took a part time job but it didn't pay enough to help me get caught up on the bills. Two weeks ago I found out that I've been working with a torn rotator cuff that needs to be surgically repaired, for years now. My doctor doesn't want me working and lifting things over my head or it will make it worse before the surgery. The recovery time is 4 to 6 months that I can't work. I'm 4.5 months behind in rent and I've been living here without natural gas for 6 months. This recent winter storm was brutal in the house. Last week the front brake calipers completely went out on me and my son while we were a food distribution center. I had to drive 5mph for 17 miles to get us home safely. I'm asking for help to get us through the next 6 to 7 months. And to help me get the van fixed.

This ask is hard for me. I've always been the one to help others. I'm not accustomed to asking for help but at this time, I don't know what else to do.
