Hi friends, family & supporters. This Go Fund Me is for our dear friend Shena Ellis during this unimaginable time. If you know Shena personally, you know that she & David are the type of people who radiate love and will give the last dollar in their pocket to help someone in need. They are indeed some of the most giving and supportive. Now it's time to rally for them and help them through this dire time.

Shena was driving home on Hwy 1 in Big Sur, CA, on Monday, May 23rd, when she unexpectedly lost control of her car, striking the hillside and rolling multiple times. Clinging to life, she was med evacuated from the crash scene and taken to the intensive care unit at Navitadid Hospital. Doctors have reported the devastating news that she has suffered from an internal decapitation (severed spinal cord at C6-C7), broken over half the bones on her face, and is now paralyzed from the chest down.

This Gofundme was started to help support Shena’s recovery: medical expenses and help with soon-to-be-required transitions she and her family will need. Once Shena can go home, they will need to leave their beloved Big Sur home & move into a wheelchair-accessible home, as well as purchase a wheelchair van to transport Shena to therapy necessary for her recovery

As some of you may know, David and Shena are also currently caring for David’s niece and working paycheck to paycheck to support the household expenses. David will have to quit his career and become a licensed caretaker to provide needed assistance for Shena.
