On June 18th, my husband Mathew began having excrutiating migraines. We were not too concerned with it at the time; We had assumed it was from dehydration or the weather. As the week progressed, and his health quickly deteriorating we decided it best for him to go to the emergency room. We thought at that time they were going to evaluate him and let him go home with a diagnosis of migraines. Unfortunately we were way off. They took Mathew down for a CATscan to rule out any sort of brain injuries and or problems but instead found a tumor on the Frontal Left Quadrant of his brain. This was a terrifying and out of left field first diagnosis. We had an answer to our problems but we were not prepared for it. As the shock began to wear off and more tests were being performed we began wondering what our next steps were going to be and where we were heading. Results began coming in on other scans of his body that were showing no signs of any other tumors and his blood tests were coming back good. With that on our side we began to have a little bit of hope that things were going to be alright. On the 3rd day of his hospital stay we had a Biopsy performed on the tumor which will give us a name and let us know if the tumor is cancerous. The following morning we were given a preliminary diagnosis of Glioma, which can make up to 80% of all malignant brain tumors, Of the type of tumors he could have, this is not the worse case scenario and neither the best. Because the diagnosis was not precise the biopsy had to be sent to the MayoClinic for further testing which has pushed back our options and treatment by nearly a week.  We are scared, we are confused, we are worried, but we are not lacking in faith. There will be an answer to our questions, and there will be options.  However in the meantime, we have no source of income, and with two children under 5 years old, this is a problem. We ask for your prayers and any kind of donation you can give. Thank you for all of your love and support.
