I can’t believe I’m having to write this, as I’ve always done my very best for Bella and have always kept her insured for emergencies like this. Sadly, our insurance has refused to cover her recent operation, and I’m now in the difficult and embarrassing position of asking for help.

Bella has always struggled with her anal glands, but in the last few months things became unbearable for her. She was in so much pain that she was tearing at her own skin, leaving herself raw and bleeding. After advice from specialists, it was decided the only option was to remove her anal glands completely.

This was a specialist surgery costing over £2,500 + additional costs for blood work and medication, and I thought it would be covered by insurance, as that’s exactly why I’ve paid into it all these years and have never claimed from it. Unfortunately, they have now declined the claim because Bella has had treatment on her anal glands in the past, which they say makes this a “pre-existing condition.” I’ve appealed, but the decision won’t be overturned.

I am devastated and so emotional. I truly thought I was doing the right thing for Bella, but I now find myself unable to cover these costs alone as I don’t have that type of money sitting around and have even considered selling my business. Bella means the world to me, and I just want her to have the happy, pain-free life she deserves after everything she’s been through.

I’m humbly asking for any help, big or small, to contribute towards the cost of her surgery. I know times are hard for everyone, and it breaks me to be in this position i’m so embarrassed, but every little will make such a huge difference.
