In May of 2008, Debbie's world was changed forever. She had been experiencing headaches that had became more severe than just a migraine and had moments where she would get disoriented and had impaired vision. Her doctor ordered a scan of her brain where the test results found many small tumors that were causing the symptoms she's been having. After many more tests, they found that her cancer origenated in her right kidney and moved to her brain. She had an operation to remove that kidney and began radiation and chemo treatment. Over time the tumors in her brain cleared only leaving behind scar tissue and the kidney cancer was dirastically decreased. She continued to work, took care of two daughters, help plan a wedding and all the other duties that come with being a wife and mother; all while fighting cancer. In 2015, Debbie's Oncologist found another cancer growing, ovarian cancer, making the need to change treatment.
As you well know, cancer takes a toll on a person's body and mind, Debbie eventually had to stop working, leaving her without medical insurance. As of last week, Debbie was rushed to the ER to find that she had come down with a case of pneumonia and is currently still in the hospital for treatment.
Debbie and her husband Scott had worked long and hard these past 8 years to try their best at keeping up with the medical bills on their own. There comes a time where asking for help is a must. This hospital stay has already lasted a lot longer than expected on top of the treatment that she has already been undergoing.
Any money raised for Debbie will be going towards the outstanding medical bills that they will be receiving in the near future.
Debbie is one of the strongest and most determined ladies I know. We put together a group by the name of Unbeatable in honor of her, not only to show that we care for and about her but to show anyone else going through trials that they too can be Unbeatable.
