On September 20th, a dog arrived on our doorstep with a severely broken leg, the bone piercing through his skin. We do not know where he came from or how this happened to him. Despite our best efforts to find his owner, asking all of our neighbours and sharing his photos on social media, no one has come forward to claim him. We named him Albert Einstein for the obvious uncanny resemblance when we found him.

Albert has endured three surgeries to save his leg, but unfortunately the infection in his wounds and his leg where now threatening his life. After a month of fighting, his leg has to be amputated.

The rising medical costs of Alberts surgeries and ongoing care have been substantial, besides the emotional turmoil.

We are humbly asking those with the means to help cover the ongoing costs and to ensure we can one day, hopefully give Albert life he deserves. We will keep this page updated with Alberts care, recovery and his story as it is long from over. Any additional funds raised will be saved for the next dog in need. Sadly Alberts story is far too common and prevalent here in St. Vincent.
