Angie’s Recovery

Hi my name is Jessica and my sister Angie was in a dirt biking accident on September 4th and broke her neck. Thankfully she was with people who knew what to do, had their first aid and after doing their initial assessment knew not to move her or remove her helmet, kept her still, called 911 and waited for the EMTs to arrive. She has since been moved to Calgary due to the severity of the situation and needed surgeons who specialized in this type of trauma. She has had a procedure and some long surgeries and is now healing expected to make a full recovery. The people she was with saved her and because of their first aid training she could still move her toes once she had arrived to the Red Deer hospital and she is not paralyzed. That being said Angie is a new homeowner and recently had started a new job and has a long road of recovery ahead of her, once she is out of the hospital she has 6 weeks minimal movement and 3 months of taking it slow and easy after. I’m looking for donations for Angie to help ease the financial burden so she has one less thing to stress about and can focus on healing and recovery. If you are able to donate, any amount will help or even if you can share if you are not able to donate it will be greatly appreciated.
