Support Patricia's Journey to Recovery

Hello, my name is Taylor, and I am one of seven children of Patricia Dashnaws. Back in December 2023, my mother suffered a catastrophic stroke that left her paralyzed. While she was in the hospital, she had a brain bleed that they could not control and had to have part of her skull removed to relieve the swelling and pressure on the brain. She has been home from the hospital since May, and since then, she has had to be readmitted several times due to infections in her feeding tube and her trachea.

My mom is home recovering, My mother was a devoted mother and did everything for her children. Due to her still being paralyzed she can not care, play or hug her children. She has fallen into a depression and at times had lost the urge to fight but she is working on those issues. Patricia was a independent woman that now has to rely on people for everything. The insurance company is not covering a lot of stuff that is holding her back from making a recovery. My mom still has half her skull missing, and because of this, she has to be transported in a chair or bed that is locked in place. She has several appointments a month and has missed 50% of her appointments due to the ambulette company always canceling.

Because of these issues, we are trying to raise funds for my mom to get equipment that can be used for her recovery in her home and for a used handicapped van that can get her to her appointments safely. The family is grateful for any help or shares whatsoever. Thank you.
