My name is Enda Dunne, and I am one of the coaches of the Kilcullen AFC Under-16 Girls team, alongside Rob Connolly, Harry Reddy, and John Tyrrell.

This team represents a major milestone for Kilcullen AFC, as they were the first girls’ underage team established within the club. Over the past four years, they have gone from strength to strength—reaching a cup final in their first season, winning a Shield Final last year, and finishing runners-up in their league last year . More importantly, they have inspired a new generation of young girls within the community to get involved in football.

These girls have set the standard in the club and are Soley responsibly for creating the interest in soccer for the younger girls coming behind them. There are now 4 underage girl’s teams in the club, and our group of girls have truly inspired girls in our community.

In 2026, we are planning to bring the team to an international football tournament in Barcelona. This will be a first for the club and a significant development opportunity for the players, both on and off the pitch.
