Let’s save Hope

Hi friends here is my little friend Hope

Sunday 6/18
I had noticed a tiny puppy outside my friends house and noticed that there was also a bowl of food and water, that was a clear sign that some one had abandoned him.
My first reaction was to bring him inside and give him a bath , We had to remove by hand multiple fleas and ticks and bathe Hope multiple times to rid him of dirt and insects. On top of the insect infestation he has a severely injured left hind leg that is broken and will require surgery.
In order to connect him to a shelter/ vet, we had been turned down because of overflow and him being a stray , the ones that said could take him couldn’t guarantee that he WOULD NOT be euthanized.
Animals have always weighed heavy on my heart and the capacity for a man or woman to abandon such a beautiful animal hurts my heart-
I am graciously asking for my wonderful community to band together to bring hope for Hope - I will continue to document this story for everyone to see ❤️

UPDATE: We FINALLY got accepted by a ER that was willing to be apart of Hope’s comeback story !

Thanks to Taylor ER Vet hospital in Turlock we have an exact prognosis of Hope as well an estimate for the cost of the surgery …. ($3200) here is a copy and paste of the results:

”Hope has a fractured femoral head on his left leg. Surgery to remove the head of the femur or to remove the limb is recommended to help him function without pain. Until then, rest and pain control should be used.
We have started his vaccines tonight. The Rabies vaccine should be boosted in 1 year. The DAPP (parvo combo) vaccine should be boosted in 3 to 4 weeks. The bordetella vaccine should be boosted in 6 months.
