Help Jia Defeat Aggressive Cancer
Donation protected
I’ve known Jia since high school. She is always full of energy and has a positive attitude. We started our life in the U.S. as first-generation immigrants, I saw her grow and thrive with a successful career and being a happy wife and a loving mom.
She was knocked down with sudden bleeding at the end of OCT. 2019, and was diagnosed with stage 3 gynecological cancer two days later. As a tough fighter, she exhausted all the possible treatment options and endured severe side effects and unimaginable pain. Unfortunately, the recurrence happened again in SEP 2020, JAN 2021, SEP 2021, and FEB 2022 in multiple parts of her body. Her oncologist told her she would only live for 1.5 years. Her cancer is so aggressive it just wouldn’t respond enough to adenocarcinoma, it’s the most aggressive form of cancer. The traditional treatments just didn’t respond well. Even during the hardest time of the pandemic, she took all with great strength, carefully going forward but scared to continue the suggested treatments, she accepted the treatments with grace, continued to work full-time, drove herself to many many appointments, and at the same time tried her best to keep her two little girls in their daily routine. In addition, she took care of her senior parents who don’t know how to drive for their frequent hospital visits. She has to do it for them.
As the harsh treatment went on, her body just couldn’t take anymore, so she turned to alternative therapies to reduce side effects. Just as she started to see some hope— positive results from her new treatment, she was laid off by her employer and lost her income to keep up with the cost of the alternative therapies. The medical bills started to pile up.
In this dark moment, she refused to give up and decided to fight for herself, her beautiful kids, her family, and all others who love and pray for her. Cancer won’t stop, and neither will the treatments. Life cannot wait.
We ask that you please contribute to her cause and allow Josepha to continue to fight this fight. Thank you for reading this wonderful woman’s story, and for your prayers and generosity.
We will keep you updated as her journey and fight goes on.
