Rally for the Roper Family: Honoring Ares
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that the Tinley Park Athletic Club and the T-Bolt Football Foundation share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear friend, Ares Roper.
Ares was the beloved husband and best friend of Erica, and the fiercely proud father of Ethan and Liam. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, Ares found his true calling not only in service to his country but also in the joy of grilling and coaching youth sports. He poured his heart into every game, every practice, and every meal.
Coach Roper devoted his springs and early summers to Bobcats Baseball, and his late summers and falls to Bulldogs Football. Beyond the field and the kitchen, he was a fixture in the stands, cheering on Ethan at Andrew High School and Liam with the Bulldogs wrestling program. His presence was larger than life, his encouragement unwavering, and his impact immeasurable.
Words fall short of capturing the depth of this loss. Ares was a father to Ethan and Liam—and a father figure to countless others in our community. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
In this time of profound grief, we are rallying around Erica, Ethan, and Liam. We will be their shoulder to cry on, their listening ear, and their unwavering support system.
While no amount of money can ease their pain, we hope to lift some of the financial burdens they now face. All donations will go directly to the Roper family to use as they need.
We also ask that you please keep Erica, Ethan, and Liam in your thoughts and prayers.
